We, the undersigned members of the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming, are all applicants for licenses under Law 14790/23 and are committed to upholding the following consumer protection principles in all our online betting activities in Brazil.
We also encourage all third-party affiliates, including but not limited to content providers, social media influencers, social media accounts, and brand ambassadors, to adhere to these principles whenever applicable.
- We actively work to prevent minors and other prohibited individuals from participating in any form of betting through our products.
- We collaborate with sports authorities, government agencies, and national and international integrity bodies to take both operational and educational measures to detect, prevent, and penalize match-fixing and manipulation of sports events.
- We follow strict anti-money laundering and anti-fraud protocols across all operations and work closely with authorities to prevent such offenses.
- We only partner with third-party providers who are either already licensed in Brazil or are in the process of licensing their operations in compliance with Brazilian online betting laws or other relevant regulations. We fully support any actions the government takes against operators or parties unwilling to follow the rules.
- We are committed to helping customers make informed decisions about their betting activities by providing easy-to-understand information on how to play responsibly, along with customer service and support resources. A portion of our marketing budget is dedicated to promoting responsible gambling campaigns.
- We fully support the creation and promotion of a unified national helpline for responsible gambling.
- We follow all socially responsible advertising standards, complying with all relevant laws and regulations. Our marketing content never includes minors, and for gambling-related advertising, we only use individuals who clearly appear to be above the legal gambling age.
- We offer customers tools to gamble responsibly, including self-exclusion options, financial and account limits, and access to their betting history.
- We adhere to all self-exclusion rules and regulations and provide resources for those who choose to self-exclude.
- We encourage customers to set budgets that they can comfortably afford, to avoid gambling beyond their means, and to never view gambling as a way to achieve financial success.
- We also encourage customers to set financial and time limits on their betting and stick to them, while discouraging them from chasing losses.
- We believe in a shared responsibility to address gambling problems and match-fixing. We are committed to working with lawmakers, experts, researchers, organizations focused on problem gambling treatment, sports organizations, advocacy groups, and our partners—alongside our customers—to promote responsible gambling and prevent match-fixing.
- We support evidence-based research into gambling issues and responsible gaming practices.
- We train all employees on responsible gambling, sports integrity, and anti-money laundering practices during onboarding and provide regular training updates to ensure a strong culture of consumer protection within our business.
- Finally, we are committed to continuously reviewing and improving our consumer protection programs and initiatives.
